We are happy to be able to offer these beautiful Electric Incense Heaters with new and improved functions. With their adjustable temperature control, Electric Incense Burners make it possible to gently heat incense instead of burning it. Electric heaters have revolutionized how incense is used and inspired a whole generation of incense makers. It has allowed us to greatly expand the fragrant materials we use and prompts us to create original incense experiences and even new forms of incense.
By using an electric incense heater, unlike charcoal for burning incense, you have control over the heat level which allows you to maintain a smoke free experience. This allows you to fine-tune the temperature for a particular blend, and therefore, you will receive the most significant benefit, scent, and subtle aroma from fine natural ingredients with very little smoke. It lets the incense gently warm up and release its scent.
Electric incense burners are designed for a wide range of fragrant materials. The heater is suitable for tender dried flower petals and is perfect for fine incense blends that contain a wide variety of fragrant materials. It can also diffuse essential oils, raw resins, neri-koh incense, incense powders, candle melts, and essential oils. The ceramic housings are specially designed to withstand the highest temperature setting and will never crack from heat exhaustion.
Using incense on an electric burner produces little to no smoke and diffuses a far more complex and nuanced fragrance than burning incense on a charcoal. For this reason, Master perfumer Mandy Aftel uses and recommends electric incense burners in her book “Fragrant: The Secret Life of Scent”.
The heaters' forms and decorations are based on classic incense burner designs that are not only pleasing to the eye but are woven with spiritual meanings that are a perfect accompaniment to meditation, ritual, or to allow the spiritual into everyday life.

Guide to Using Electric Incense Heaters
- The best setting to use will depend on the type of material being burned and your personal preference. Turn on the heater using the timer button usually 1-3 hours is good for most incense.
- Select the Temperature you desire by turning the knob - the digital readout makes it easy to see. Resins and blends that are predominantly resin, like pastilles, cakes, and Kyphi, are best heated at a higher temp. We like it at about 240- 280.
- A lower setting will let the incense heat and disperse scent more slowly. Blends with a high herbal and botanical content should slowly release their true fragrance at a lower temperature- try at about 200 and adjust from there. You don’t want them to scorch. Get to know your personal preferences for temperature and timer settings by experimenting. Different forms of incense may require different settings.
- With the small spoon, place the incense in a foil cup - Place the foil cup directly on the heater surface. Mermade carries reusable foil cups for this purpose. They fit perfectly in these heaters. We highly recommend using the foil cups to prevent incense resin from melting onto the hot surface.

Add Foil Cups
- Leave the foil cup on the surface of the heater until the incense has released all its fragrance or has turned dark.
- Be sure to always place the lid on the heater when in use; this increases and maintains an even temperature. It can be removed when hot by using the Tweezers included and placing it on a wooden coaster to protect the table top - To turn the heater off before time is up, continue to press the timer button, it will cycle through all the settings until it reaches the end and then will turn off.
- When using a foil cup, remove the incense residue from the heater with the tweezers provided and wait until it cools. Then simply pop out the burned incense and use the cup again.
- Clean the heater with a dry cloth; do not wash with water
