Serenity is a balm for the heart and mind…

 

A beautiful harmonic blend of nature's finest soothing aromatics. Perfect for use during meditation and spiritual practice. We think this is going to be a Mermade favorite. 

 

The scent is sublime.

 

The intention of this incense is to help one reach a state of serenity, when the mind is at peace, the heart is at ease and the body relaxed. It can be heated at a medium temperature, and its light, lovely fragrance will fill your home for many hours.

 

We have all heard of the Stress-reducing properties of fine Frankincense, and Serenity contains 40% of The finest Sultan’s Select grade Ivory Boswellia Sacra (my favorite) and 40% Mysore Sandalwood. With this precious blend at its base, we have added organic lavender buds, sweet golden Benzoin, and hints of Homegrown white Sage, Cardamom, and Vanilla.

 

Serenity is a loose powdered blend that comes with a wooden serving spoon. It is best experienced on an electric incense heater like Fire Flower or Lotus Circle. We like it heated on a setting of about 250-60. The powdered form brings the scent forth fully and quickly.

Sultan’s Select Grade Ivory Frankincense (Boswellia sacra)

 

Sandalwood

This precious wood is known for its significant calming effects, primarily due to its warm, woody scent which can help relieve anxiety, tension, and promote a sense of relaxation. This calming effect is attributed to the compound alpha-santalol in sandalwood, which interacts with the nervous system to induce a relaxed state. Many use sandalwood incense during meditation to enhance focus and achieve a deeper state of tranquility. 

 

Lavender

In folklore, pillows were filled with lavender flowers to help restless people fall asleep. Scientific evidence suggests that aromatherapy with lavender may slow the activity of the nervous system, improve sleep quality, promote relaxation, elevate levels of euphoria, and lift the mood of people suffering from anxiety and sleeplessness.

 

Cardamom is a fascinating blend of sweet and spicy, with notes of herb, pine, and menthol. It has a warming, calming effect on the body.

 

Vanilla is a nurturing and comforting aroma.

 

White sage brings peace and clarity.

 

Benzoin represents the sweetness of life.

The blend was inspired by our wonderful daughter-in-law Lainey, who is an indispensable part of the Mermade workshop. The incense Serenity is dedicated to our beautiful little great-granddaughter Seren. We are blessed.
