We are very impressed by this harvest of Carterii from Somaliland; it is really lovely...

The aroma compares with the finest frankincense at a fraction of the cost.  The tears have a unique variety of hues, ranging from White and Green to deep Amber. 

These are high-grade tears, with notes of citrus and woody balsamic undertones.

Carterii Frankincense, also known as Beyo, has a classic  Frankincense aroma. It is the scent many remember from childhood, and it is used extensively in the Perfume industry and also in Church rituals.

In northern Somalia, many collectors and their families survive wholly or partly on income from its collection. The gums come from trees that grow on rocky slopes and gullies, making collection hazardous.
